When cancer care is personal

The distance between Navarre and Alexandria, Egypt is more than 6,500 miles and the culture gap can be just as wide, but for Dr. Sherif Ibrahim, the similarities between the two places are striking at times.

“I just moved here recently, two or three weeks ago,” said Ibrahim. He is originally from Egypt but has spent the last 12 years in Arkansas finishing his medical training. 

“I love it,” he said. “I grew up on the coast on the beach, so there are many areas here that feel the same, all the seafood, and the beaches, all the friendly people. It’s really a great town.”
