CARE-ing for Alzheimer’s

Caring for a loved one who has Alzheimer’s disease can often be more difficult for caregivers than those who are dealing with the disease.

Alzheimer's disease is a type of progressive dementia. It can affect a person’s memory, thinking and behavior, and symptoms generally get worse over time.

Home Instead Senior Care Center has developed a training program for families who are dealing with a family member who has Alzheimer’s.

CARE, Changing Aging through Research and Education, is a program that gives information on how to care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease at home. The Alzheimer’s Association estimates that between 60-70 percent of Alzheimer’s patients live at home.
