The Arthritis Foundation is looking for participants in the 2012 Arthritis Walk. The walk will honor several local citizens and one furry friend on April 28 at West Florida Hospital’s Rehabilitation Institute.
The honorees for this year’s walk are Hailey Strunk, an 11 year-old girl who suffers from juvenile arthritis; Jeanette Schultz, a local jewelry designer; Dr. Rachel Brown, a rheumatologist with Baptist Medical Group; and Missy, a nine-year old St. Bernard dog.
The walk is the flagship fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation. The foundation promotes public awareness of the disease and also raises funds needed to fight arthritis. Arthritis is the most common cause of disability in the country.
