Women’s center welcomes international delegates

Only days after its grand opening, The Women's Place at Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton will host a delegation of international leaders in breast cancer research and treatment Thursday.

The International Visitor Leadership Project group will visit Oct. 20 from 11:30 am-1 pm. to tour the new facilities and meet with staff to learn more about the approach being taken to detect breast cancer and help women through the treatment process.

The International Visitor Leadership Project (IVLP) aims to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries through carefully designed visits that reflect the participants' professional interests and support U.S. foreign policy goals.
