Firefighters at Holley Navarre Fire District are doing their part to help raise awareness of breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, all fourteen employees will be sporting pink shirts in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The idea came about when union members from Holley Navarre Professional Fire Fighters Local 4695 discussed what they could do to help inform the community.
"We talked about it as a union," said Lt. Arron Sandoval, union vice president. "We've been involved with (the American Cancer Society's) Relay for Life for two years, and we thought that this would be a good beginning," into helping with additional cancer awareness.
