The daVinci Surgical System sat in the corner of the room, facing away from the gurney, yet the participant sitting at the controls was able to deftly maneuver the robotic arms to pick up small colored blocks set up on the gurney.
The $1.5 million system made its debut at Santa Rosa Medical Center on April 25 at an open house designed to showcase the benefits of the cutting edge technology that exists to assist surgeons in delicate cases.
