Lifeguard Ambulance Service in both Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, in cooperation with Baptist, Sacred Heart and West Florida hospitals, have found a way to save not only lives, but also the quality of life for victims of a STEMI heart attack.
Dim lights A STEMI heart attack – or ST-elevation myocardial infarction – affects close to 400,000 people each year, according to the American Heart Association. 30 percent do not receive the lifesaving treatments in time.
