After the recent storms and the cooler temperatures, snakes are becoming more visible in residential areas.
On Sept. 17, a snake bit a 3-year-old girl in Jay and, due to complications, she was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital by ambulance the next day.
Since this incident, local medical teams and animal services are strongly urging residents to be aware and careful when venturing outside.
