Amnesty Day is here, so grab that hazardous waste, the old television and that box of batteries.
Amnesty Day, which offers Santa Rosa County residents the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous waste at no charge, is scheduled from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 28.
“This day gives the public the opportunity to get rid of waste they have in a certified manner,” said Rick Harris, the county’s environmental supervisor. “And we are able to take a majority of that waste and recycle it, helping the environment and keeping the county safe.”
