Pensacola State College receives $5 million for south Santa Rosa nursing facility

Pensacola State College recently received a $5 million appropriation from the Florida Legislature for the construction of a new health science and nursing facility at the college’s South Santa Rosa County campus.

While PSC officials haven’t broken ground on the project, the new facility promises to expand what the Midway-area campus has to offer.

This summer, Navarre Library and other libraries across Santa Rosa County are “unearthing” literacy through the Summer Reading Program. The annual program features events designed to promote reading among children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

During its “Unearthing History” program, the library invited NAS Whiting Field Public Affairs Director Jamie Coffey to read a book and share the history and mission of the naval air station.
