The Santa Rosa County School Board met recently to make its annual appointments of chairman and vice chairman.
The board unanimously approved a motion to appoint District 3 board member Diane Coleman as the chairman for 2013. District 2 board member Hugh Winkles served as the chairman for 2012. Coleman, who lives in Navarre, is the education director at Lighthouse Private Christian Academy in Gulf Breeze. She has been on the school board since 2002 and has taught at the private elementary school since 2010.
