Ann Thompson, a third-grade teacher at West-Navarre Intermediate School, said she thinks of her students as her own children.
Colleagues said it was that kind of passion that earned her the title of WNIS’s Teacher of the Year.
“She is passionate about her children,” said teaching assistant Tracey Henderson. “She wants the best for her children and gets the best from them. She’s the most nurturing person I’ve ever met.”
