Kasie Windfelder moved from North Dakota to teach in Navarre on a whim.
Now in her seventh year of teaching English, she has been chosen as the Teacher of the Year for Navarre High School.
“When Principal (Brian) Noack came into my class holding flowers… I thought ‘no way,’” Windfelder said about her recent award. “I was pleasantly surprised because I was up against some awesome teachers.”
