West Navarre builds communities

David Crissey, principal at WNIS, leads out vice principal Shana Dorsey and teachers Kenny Long, Liz Feilner, Beth DePersio (not pictured), and Elizabeth Baer to announce the launch of the I AM West Navarre Intermediate project to students.

In the hot sun on Aug. 23, fifth-grade students at West Navarre Intermediate School waited anxiously in the field near the bus ramp, scrolls in hand, to see what exactly their principal, David Crissey, had in store for them.

Students knew that something was afoot; banners hung in the corridors of the school, with phrases in Latin, the scrolls they clutched in their hands they had been instructed not to open. Something was definitely happening at WNIS.
