Resources available for homeless youth

 

Middle school students who qualified as homeless in Santa Rosa County created these posters while attending summer enrichment camp.

Santa Rosa County Schools had a record number of more than 1,600 homeless students during the 2011-12 school year.

The number of students defined as homeless increased 13 percent from the 2010-11 school year, and school administration is looking for programs and funding to give these students a chance to overcome the obstacles that are ahead of them.
