SRC schools adopt Common Core Standards

Santa Rosa County School District is beginning the implementation of the Common Core Standards (CCS) in the 2012-13, set to be fully implemented in the 2014-15 school year.

The Common Core State Standards Initiative (CCSSI) was designed to improve results for students by coming up with a set of common academic standards in language arts. The CCS are voluntary, and 45 states have implemented the standards to date.
