Gulf Breeze property still in limbo

Land owned by the Santa Rosa County School District in Gulf Breeze may be back on the market soon.

During the Oct. 23 school board meeting, Paul Green, attorney for the school district, told the school board that the contract on the Gulf Breeze property had expired.

James Kearney of Tiger Point Land Development recently paid off the $100,000 nonrefundable deposit, but the final sale has not yet occurred.

Green proposed to the board that they extend the contract to Nov. 3, and if the situation is not resolved by then, the buyers can have two more weeks if they pay a nonrefundable $25,000.
