NHS teachers win teaching excellence award

Navarre High School teachers Teresa Brenton and Ian Turoff were awarded the Kerry and Katherine Kilpatrick Awards for Teachers

Navarre High School teachers Teresa Brenton and Ian Turoff were presented with the fifth annual Kerry and Katherine Kilpatrick Awards for Teaching Excellence in Mathematics and Science on April 2.

The awards consist of $1,000 cash prizes and plaques with the recipient’s name to be displayed in the school office. Brenton, who has 17 years of teaching experience, arrived at NHS in 2003 and has been chairwoman of the mathematics department for the last five years.
