Oct. 13 -17 was National School Lunch Week and the parties at Navarre schools included elections for best lunch and visits by local dignitaries.

State Sen. Don Gaetz and Janie Gilley, deputy chief of staff for State Rep. Ray Sansom, stopped by local schools while other cafeterias paid honor to military men and women.

Petunia Pita Pocket, Larry Lasagna, Biff Burger, Gloria Grilled Cheese and Pete Pizza went head-to-head at each school throughout the week. The schools celebrated the right to vote, ate healthy and stayed active, and had a little fun during lunch as well.
