Woodlawn honors local heroes

Woodlawn Beach Middle School fine arts department honored local and national heroes last week to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001.

The WBMS Choir on Fire group and the symphonic band performed the national anthem while the Navarre High School Junior ROTC Color Guard Unit presented the flags.

The chorus also performed "America the Beautiful," "Imagine" by John Lennon and "Song for the Unsung Hero" by Joseph Martin.

The band and chorus performed "What a Wonderful World" together while a slideshow highlighted many local heroes.
