The Santa Rosa County School Board and Santa Rosa Professional Educators (SRPE), the union representing the district’s instructional employees, reached a tentative settlement on the master contract governing employee salaries.
The increasingly strained economic situation has led to a staggered pay raise schedule for teachers and support staff in the last two years. The last salary increase was instituted for the 2009-10 school year when employees were given a 1.8-percent pay raise. Last school year, employees received a one time bonus of $1050.
The tentative settlement between the school district and SRPE includes the following language:
All instructional employees will be placed on the “Grandfathered Salary Schedule” such that their salary level is equal to their years of verified satisfactory service.
