Diane Coleman named Lighthouse education director

Diane Coleman, District 3 Santa Rosa County School Board representative, is the new education director at Lighthouse Private Christian Academy.

Coleman, who has been on the school board since 2002, has been teaching at the private elementary school since 2010.

“It’s an exciting opportunity,” Coleman said of her new role at the school.

Coleman will be working closely with the faculty on administrative tasks and curriculum. She will continue to teach, taking on a host of various subjects, including reading, writing, math and English for part of the day, while the other half will consist of physical education, lunch and even foreign-language classes.
