Santa Rosa County School board meeting highlights standards

The Santa Rosa County School Board held their monthly public meeting on May 12 at their offices in Milton.

On the agenda were a variety of awards and recognition, as well as presentations on the status of homeless students in county schools.

The board approved new principals for two area schools. Jason Weeks will now serve as principal of Gulf Breeze High School; Jay High School will welcome Brad Marcilliat as their new principal. Both men were present at the meeting.

School Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick said “we are truly in good hands in Santa Rosa County with the quality of candidates we are putting forward.”
