Woodlawn Beach students to visit nation’s capital

Students from Woodlawn Beach Middle School will soon get an up-close and personal look at democracy in action when they visit Washington, D.C., this summer with their teacher Jackie Brown.

Brown is taking 13 eighth grade students to visit the capital in conjunction with Close Up, a group that helps organize tours for middle school and high school students. Close Up will provide the students with daily tours, educational seminars and a chance to mingle with other students from around the country.
