Teacher of the Year visits Navarre schools

Conley toured Santa Rosa County Schools as one of four finalists for the National Teacher of the Year Award.Cheryl Conley, Florida’s Teacher of the Year, made a visit to West Navarre Primary School on April 5 to inspire and educate both students and staff.

Conley, a fourth grade teacher from Osceola Magnet School in Vero Beach, Fla., made the stop on her year-long tour of Florida schools as she competes to become National Teacher of the Year 2011. The program has been in place since 1952 and is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards for teaching. Conley is one of four finalists for the coveted award.
