Santa Rosa County school lunch prices may be going up

The price of lunch in Navarre’s schools may become more expensive in the fall as new federal legislation affects the way local school districts price meals.
The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 was recently passed by Congress and signed into law by the president. The new regulation makes changes to the ways in which school districts nationwide use federal funds provided to reimburse districts for the cost of producing meals for children participating in the National School Lunch Program.
