West Navarre Intermediate School is trying to alleviate the financial burden the Kleine family has recently incurred.
Donna Kleine is a fifth grade teacher at WNIS and her seventh grade son, Josh recently had a virus that traveled to his brain. This development caused Grand Mal seizures, which had to be immediately treated. Josh is recovering, but as a result his parents have to stay home with him and miss work.
The school in response has decided to raise money to help the family financially. On Feb. 24 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. WNIS held a takeout lasagna plate fundraiser.
