Being a member of a school band isn’t just about performing during halftime, at least not for the students of Holley-Navarre Middle School.
For them being in band is also about honing their skills as a musician and then seeing where they stand compared to other musicians their age. According to the University of Southern Mississippi, they compare very well, even ranking with students a few years older.
