Navarre High star student has 18,000 reasons to celebrate

Like most high school seniors, Hannah Johnson is excited about college. A petite cheerleader and a bright smile, Johnson said she is most looking forward to meeting new people and starting what she calls the “next phase” of her life.

Until a few weeks ago, Johnson said she was unsure where she would start that next phase. However, one college in particular recently gave her 18,000 good reasons to make a decision.

Johnson was notified recently that she had been awarded an $18,000 scholarship to attend the University of West Alabama, a liberal arts college situated in the heart of western Alabama.
