Forty-one girls will be vying for the title of Miss Navarre High School this Friday night. Although the contestants will be judged based on their beauty and poise, all 41 entrants say the pageant is more about individuality than anything else.
“It’s about self-empowerment,” said 15-year-old sophomore Willow Evetts. “It’s about realizing that everyone has flaws and overcoming that and realizing you’re still beautiful. It’s about being yourself.”
