Students share some sobering truths

Forget funky shirts and ripped jeans, red ribbons were the accessory of choice for many students in the Santa Rosa County school system last week.
But these ribbons aren’t just an accessory, they are a symbol, a message and a promise for students – or so says Navarre High School senior Kati Bellingausen.
Bellinghausen, president of the NHS chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions, also known as S.A.D.D., said wearing the ribbons is a show of solidarity.
