Federal stimulus money already has saved teachers' jobs in Santa Rosa County; officials hope it will help build classrooms, too.
The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act created the Qualified School Construction Bond Program to help districts finance capital improvements. The Florida Department of Education has about $106 million remaining and is accepting project requests from eligible school districts.
