Beloved breakfast biz files Chapter 11

A Tampa-area franchisee that owns 90 Waffle House restaurants in Florida was forced to file for bankruptcy protection, but none of the affected stores are in the Panhandle.

12_11_wafflehouse_text.jpgAll the Waffle Houses in this area are company-owned, a spokesperson for the restaurant chain said.In a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in September, Northlake Foods Inc., based in Brandon, Fla., said it was faced with a cash flow shortage made worse by the current economic conditions.
