Home sales up in Navarre

Navarre joins the rest of Florida with rising home sales.

“It is picking up. It’s getting busier,” said Linda Evans, a real estate agent with Southern Shores Realty Inc.

Single family home sales with December closings in Navarre rose 119.4 percent with 68 closings compared to December of 2011 when there were only 31. Pending sales in Navarre also increased by 75 percent when comparing December 2012 to 2011.

“The real estate market has turned the corner and is showing signs of steady improvement,” said Sue Rogers, president of the Navarre Area Board of Realtors.
