Small shops get a weekend boost

Denene Wallace was signing copies of her new cookbook and gave samples of pecan sandies at Saltwater Cottage on Oct. 6 during the first Small Shop Crawl.

Small retailers in Navarre got a Saturday sales boost thanks to the first Small Shop Crawl, sponsored by the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Development Committee.

Shoppers were asked to meet at Alphy’s Catfish House on Oct. 6 to receive a map of participating shops and a complementary shopping bag. Shoppers are encouraged to visit as many shops on the map as they can from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in order to be eligible for cash prizes.
