Higher Ground Coffee closed its doors of the local coffee shop the week of Aug. 14 with no warning. One day the doors were open and the next day a sign on the door read “closed until further notice.”
The next week, all items were removed from the store and a ‘for lease’ sign was placed on the roadside sign.
Jerry Jernigan of Jernigan Investments, Ltd. Who owns the building, said that they seemed to be doing well but it got to the point where it just wasn’t working.
His wife, Rita, said that she hates it when businesses fail, but that there was no notice given that Julie and Andrew Isaac, the owners of Higher Ground, would be leaving.
The building is located at 8476 Navarre Parkway.
Al Smith from Bill Pullum Reality is handling the lease management and said that anyone interested in leasing the building can contact him at 850-699-4407. The lease is negotiable.
