Water department changes policy

In the past, if a Realtor or builder wanted to have the water turned on temporarily to clean or inspect the water lines, they would have to sign the same agreement and pay the same deposits that a new renter or owner would pay.

Realtors complained, and the Holley-Navarre Water System listened.

“There is a $25 service charge to cover going to the property twice to turn it on and off and the first 100 gallons are free,” said general manager Ken Walker.
