TEAM board seeks another six months

TEAM Santa Rosa Economic Development Council finally reached a consensus on the next steps it will take during a Jan. 17 board of directors meeting.

Economic development consultant Tom Ticknor was hired in November to evaluate TEAM Santa Rosa and make recommendations to improve its business operations and to improve its public image. Two of the recommendations have been labeled the Ticknor Plans 1 and 2. Plan 1 includes Ildi Hosman, TEAM's public affairs director, assuming a more active role in communicating to the public the successes of TEAM and what the organization is doing. Plan 2 recommended hiring a CEO to be the "head" of TEAM.

These two plans were discussed at length among the board of directors with input from County Commissioner Bob Cole. Questions were asked about just what the county commissioners are looking for in order to renew TEAM's contract for another two years. Commissioners denied TEAM's request for a two-year renewal in September, but granted a six-month extension to give TEAM time to make some improvements.
