TEAM Santa Rosa Board of Directors approved paying up to $10,000 plus travel expenses to hire a consultant to review and assess the organizational structure of the economic development council.
The board received four proposals from consultants and approved hiring Tom Ticknor of Ticknor & Associates from Chicago. Members of the planning committee met before the entire board convened and recommended Ticknor based on individual scoring cards.
TEAM Executive Director Cindy Anderson said all five scoring cards she received had Ticknor as the top pick. Experience and expertise counted for 30 points, work product counted for 40 points and proposed work plan counted for the remaining 30 possible points.
Chairman David Hoxeng said the request for proposals was advertised nationally. The scope of work includes review of TEAM’s private/public structure compared to other like-sized counties in Florida, the effectiveness and perception of the TEAM brand among stakeholders and clients, possible roles TEAM could take in tourism and/or retail development and qualifications and salary range of a successful executive director.
