Superintendent addresses chamber at Commerce and Coffee

Tim Wyrosdick, superintendent of schools for the Santa Rosa County school district, addressed the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce members at the chamber's monthly Commerce and Coffee event held on Oct. 27.

Wyrosdick has been a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County, having graduated from Pace High School. He also served as assistant principal and principal at Navarre High School.

"I have the most amazing job," Wyrosdick told the crowd.

Wyrosdick gave a presentation titled "Money, Mom & Making the Grade," which discussed the school district's budget and how the school board tries to ensure they are being good stewards of finances.

"When do you stop looking at budgets?" Wyrosdick asked, "Never. Our budget is never finalized."

The school board must constantly reevaluate the financial needs of the schools and administrators and balance those needs against what is best for the budget.
