In the age of technology, there are a seemingly infinite number of things that Americans can do online: check our stock portfolio, communicate with family both near and far, even take college courses through an internet connection.
Santa Rosa County’s Emergency Operations Center offers training online for 18 different segments of the community in order to have a fully staffed, centralized location for calls in the event of a disaster such as a hurricane or a sustained loss of power.
Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce President Bill Arnett and member Ralph Agnew recently completely training that will allow them to field calls that come in for Emergency Support Function (ESF) 18. ESF 18 is the segment of the emergency response system that deals with calls that come in regarding business and industry.
