The president/CEO of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce has left her position at the chamber to pursue a different career opportunity.
The Board of Directors of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce has accepted the resignation of Meg Peltier as president/CEO and her last day was May 20, according to a press release issued by the chamber.
Peltier resigned to pursue the position of director of Business Development at Premier Island Management/Portofino Island on Pensacola Beach.
Karen Jurkowich, the 2011 chairman of the board of directors, said the chamber wishes Peltier success in her new position.
“We wish Meg well in her new endeavors and appreciate all that she has contributed to the chamber over the past five years.She is leaving under the best of circumstances and we know she is looking forward to being an active volunteer with the chamber,” said Jurkowich.
The board of directors appointed Josie Cotti, Gulf Breeze resident and chamber vice-president, to fill Peltier’s position. Cotti became the new president/CEO on May 23.
