The employees of Pet Nation saw three times their usual customer base come through the doors of their new location on Feb. 5 during their grand opening.
Pet Nation moved from their previous location in the Publix Shopping Plaza to their new one just a few doors down at 1898 Andorra St., according to Holly Elassaad, owner and operator of Pet Nation.
“It was absolutely wonderful. We had a lot of locals coming in and supporting us,” said Elassaad. “… It was busy all day from open to close.”
As a part of the festivities, Pet Nation had their mascot Monty Mouse available for pictures with children or pets.
“Everybody was thrilled. All our regulars are so happy for us, and we’re happy for them because no one has to walk down tight isles anymore. The dogs were able to walk down the isles comfortably as well,” Elassaad said.
Even after the grand opening, Elassaad said they will be continually getting new items every week and are happy to take requests. They will also be increasing their supply of reptiles once the weather gets warmer.
Elassaad said she was thrilled with how the grand opening went and will continue to host more events at the store, which will be free to the public.
