he month of November is traditionally celebrated as National Adoption Month, and in honor of that, the Catholic Charities’ Pensacola Region will hold its 2nd Annual Adoption Day Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Seville Square.
The month has been recognized as such since 1990.
“That day is actually National Adoption Day,” said Precious Arnold, adoption program coordinator for Catholic Charities Pensacola Regional office. “A lot of court systems will try to get as many families to finalize their adoptions on that day.”
