Caring and Sharing begins holiday planning

Christmas in July? No, not really, but with Christmas a mere 151 days away, the folks at Caring and Sharing of South Santa Rosa County, Inc. are busy getting ready for the holiday season now.

Caring and Sharing is going on 34 years of serving Gulf Breeze and Navarre residents during the holiday season beginning with Thanksgiving.

The nonprofit organization only operates during the holiday season, which makes the months leading up to November and December so critical.

“Because we’re dormant during the summer, it’s good to do a Christmas in July to put it on people’s radar,” said Robyn Philips, the Caring and Sharing publicity chairwoman. “We support this area specifically and we provide assistance to children that are on reduced lunches during the weeks they are not in school.”
