Mail call for soldiers, airmen and sailors stationed abroad can often be a very difficult, lonely time. Deanna and Bill Cook work to make mail call a little less hard for those men and women that have no one in the United States to send them packages.
Since 2008, the Cooks have worked with First Baptist Church Navarre, where they are members, to put together and send care packages to troops stationed abroad.
“We started in 2008 and over the last four years, we have sent over 300 care packages,” said Deanna.
Deanna and Bill got involved because there is a large military contingency in Navarre and among the church members she said.
