Mothers deem attachment parenting natural

The term attachment parenting has officially entered the lexicon of American language with the glaring headline “Are you Mom Enough?” on the May 10 issue of Time magazine accompanied by a photo of a mother with her fully-clothed 3-year-old standing on a chair attached to her breast.

The teaser under the headline was, “Why attachment parenting drives some mothers to extremes and how Dr. Bill Sears became their guru.”

But for self-described attachment parent Jen Arsenault of Navarre the term may be new, but the method is not.
