A mission group with the First Baptist Church of Navarre recently returned from their annual trip to Guatemala.
The Rev. Jim Pennington said Navarre Baptist had taken a group to the small village of Comitancillo in Guatemala for five years in a row.
The group of eight church members stayed in a mission house that can house about 20 people. The Navarre Baptist group also helped paint the building. Pennington said he found out about the small village in the northwest mountains during a pastors’ convention in Guatemala five years ago.
“We found the ministry trustworthy and now we have a well-developed relationship with them,” he said. “It’s been a very good experience for everyone.”
