It’s been two years since Fr. Paul Lambert was ordained a Catholic priest.
Though the Long Island-native was raised Catholic, it wasn’t until he attended college that he decided to enter the seminary.
“I had gone through all the classes as a kid, had been in youth group in middle school and high school, but it wasn’t really until (my time at) Florida State (University) that I began thinking about what I was going to do with my life,” said Lambert.
Lambert is the parochial vicar for St. Ann’s Catholic Parish in Gulf Breeze. A vicar is equivalent to an associate pastor.
Though many people have the image of Catholic priests as white-haired men, Lambert is anything but that. The 30-year-old is energetic and enjoys doing things other things men his age enjoy, like playing video games and golf.
