Yard sale helps fund overseas mission

One of the members of First Baptist’s youth group re-hangs a shutter after painting a home on a mission trip. They are holding a yard sale to raise funds for their new mission trip to Belize. First Baptist Church of Navarre is holding their annual yard sale to benefit their mission trip. The event is in its fifth year and typically earns roughly $1,500 - $2,000 for the youth group mission trip.

This year’s trip is different however; roughly 20 teens will travel to Belize, a small country in South America on the Caribbean coast. Past trips have been in the United States.

“For two years we went to Birmingham, Ala., to do construction, paint houses, build porches through the group World Changers,” said Youth Director Ricky Wilson.  Last year the group went to south Florida to help renovate a church.
